The Andrews schoolhouse, west of Salina, was struck by lightning during the storm Saturday afternoon and completely destroyed by fire. The lightning struck the tower of the building and split it in half. The structure burned rapidly and was in ruins in a remarkably short time, despite the rain which was falling.
