OLATHE, KS – On Sunday last, Mr. Reed, near the depot, was handling a pistol, supposed not to be loaded, and foolishly held it toward his little daughter and snapped it, when the pistol was discharged, the ball striking the child’s forehead, making a dangerous if not fatal wound. – The Olathe Mirror.
