SHAWNEE COUNTY, KAN – Charles Simmons, who was recently killed in Shawnee County, by falling from a load of hay, was an Englishman, twenty three years old, and said to have been the last member of the family, on his father’s side, so that the lineage is now extinct. His widowed mother and her sister, who are both old and childless, are said to be the only survivors of their family, so that on their death two families will become extinct.  The Abilene Reflector, Abilene, Kansas.
