IOLA – It was found impossible to keep the school house comfortably warm last Friday, and the school had to be dismissed.
The township trustee has been called upon quite frequently during the late cold snap to furnish lodging for tramps.

Klaumann had thirty of his young white rabbits frozen to death during the storm.
This has been a good week, an ice week, in fact for our ice men. The ice is about nine inches thick, very clear and hard, and a bountiful supply of it has been secured.
