Party Prejudice In The News

White Cloud, KS –  In another part of the paper, we publish accounts of the affair of Gen. Lane, at Atchison, and the escape of Haller, the murderer of Lyle, from Fort Leavenworth, taken from the Leavenworth Herald. As usual, they are trimmed off with the usual amount of party prejudice, as is the case with every occurrence transpiring in Kansas. If we want to give the news of Kansas, as extracted from our exchanges, we have either to rewrite the articles, or publish them with the deep party coloring, given to suit the party predilections of the paper from which they are taken. This is not confined to one party, but to all. – Every trivial affair in the territory is made the subject of a tremendous political blow.  The White Cloud Kansas Chief, White Cloud, Kansas.
