LEAVENWORTH. Horrible – We learn that a young woman in the vicinity of Seventeenth and Dacotah streets was taken with the pains of childbirth a few days ago, and before she could be prevented ran into an outhouse. Persons suspecting her motive in doing so, attempted to enter the door, but were forcibly prevented by the woman, until too late, for when they had effected an entrance, the child was found in the vault beneath, and died before it could be rescued. The mother of the child is now confined to her bed by consequent illness. We did not learn that any measures had been taken to arrest her.
