Oran Wordon Killed

MOUND CITY – Oran Wordon, son of ex-Sheriff Wordon of Mound City, Kas., was almost instantly killed near that place Saturday afternoon by a runaway team.  He was helping his father stack wheat and the team he was driving ran away.  The boy was thrown on his head and his skull fractured.  The Sedan Lance, Sedan, Kansas.  Wednesday, July 11, 1894.  (c) Transcribed by Darren McMannis for the Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies, Inc.
