CONTAINS LEAD – Somebody has found out that all the hair restoratives contain primarily lead. Well, what of it? Is that going to prevent bald-headed men and women from resorting to everything advertised to make their hair grow? By no means. If every preparation made was known to contain nitro glycerine, and turpentine enough to make them mad as a March hare, does any one suppose that the devotees of fashion would hesitate to put it on – and touch a match to it, for that matter – if only it was recommended as a sure cure for baldness? Suppose it should blow them into the middle of next week? Better be there than going around in fashionable society here without hair. The discovery of lead in these things is a very small affair to those who want to use them.
