LEAVENWORTH, KAN – Mr. George Pryor, an employe of the Transfer Company, was drowned in the river on Sunday while watering his horses. The body was found a short distance down the stream, and as the water is only about four feet deep there, it is something of a mystery how the accident occurred. He was buried yesterday, and leaves a wife and one child. The Leavenworth Times, Leavenworth, Kansas. January 23, 1872. Page 4. © Darren McMannis for Prairie Wind Publications.
