Are you ready to have some fun while watching reruns on TV, and greatly help out your fellow man at the same time?  Then join the Kansas Old Newspaper Transcriber’s Guild. It’s easy!

Once approved, you’ll be a part of an elite team dedicated to transcribing old newspaper stories of interest to Kansas Genealogists and Historians.  You may select the papers, the dates, and even the articles you wish to transcribe.  You then will have the choice of sending the transcription to KCGS, or to put them directly online for us.

You may transcribe from various papers, or choose papers to claim from the list below.  These papers are free online at Chronicling America.  (Your favorite not on the list?  No worries!)
