ROSSVILLE, KAN – The nearly completed iron bridge over Cross Creek, at Rossville, fell yesterday afternoon. The bridge cost about $3,000, and it is estimated that it will cost $1,000 to repair it. The cause of its fall was the water undermining the insufficient support. The Topeka Record, Topeka, Kansas. July 13, 1871. Page 3. © Transcribed by Darren McMannis for Prairie Wind Publications.
